Cubone is a Ground-type Pokémon with a small brown body, pale belly, bone club and a skull helmet covering most of its face. The contrast between soft limbs and hard bone creates a memorable beginner coloring subject. Fill the body with warm chestnut, then use cream across the belly and a deeper brown beneath the arms. Keep the helmet and club ivory, adding cool-gray shadow inside the eye sockets, beneath the jaw and along one side of the bone. Cubone pages often show a quiet standing pose, making a moonlit path, rocky plain or sparse desert an appropriate setting. Muted blue scenery gives the pale helmet strong separation.
