Paras’s colors

Use warm orange across the body, a paler cream on the face and claws, and bright red or coral on the mushrooms. Yellow or white spots make the caps stand out clearly.

Add a darker orange beneath the shell and around the leg joints to suggest depth. Paras pages are suitable for intermediate beginners because the main areas are open, although the thin legs and mushroom stems need careful coloring.

What if you chose your own colors?

A forest floor with leaves, moss and small stones gives the character a natural setting and offers extra green tones. For an imaginative version, turn the mushrooms blue or purple and add a soft glow around them.

Keep the ground less detailed immediately around the claws so their curved shapes remain easy to follow.

Recognizing Paras

Paras is a Bug- and Grass-type Pokémon with an orange insect-like body, large front claws and two small mushrooms growing on its back. The combination of shell, legs and spotted caps creates a varied page without too many tiny sections.
