Find the antennae and narrow body first; they form the center line that keeps the wing patterns easy to read. Each wing contains rounded bands and open spaces that can take alternating colors. Try a pale blue around the outer edges, a gentle yellow inside, and one bright accent near the body, or make up your own palette.

In the front view, compare matching shapes on the left and right before filling them. In the angled view, let your pencil travel from one wing toward the other while keeping the fine legs visible. The larger white areas are also good places to practice smooth color gradients.
