How to color Rattata

Rattata is a small Normal-type Pokémon with a purple rodent body, round ears, prominent front teeth and a long curled tail. The compact shape and open areas make it a quick coloring activity, while the whiskers, paws and tail encourage a little precision.

A classic palette uses purple across the back and head, cream on the belly and muzzle, and pink inside the ears. Darken the lower body and the base of the tail with a second purple to create volume without hiding the outline. The large incisors should remain pale, with a light gray shadow if more definition is needed.

Rattata can also be colored like a real field mouse in browns and warm grays, making it easy to compare fantasy and natural palettes. Add floorboards, grass, berries or a moonlit path for context. Keep lines around the whiskers light and avoid a busy pattern directly behind the tail, since its thin spiral is one of the character's most recognizable features.
