An idea for coloring Graveler
Graveler’s colors
Start with a mid-gray base, then choose two neighboring shades for individual plates rather than coloring every piece identically. Darken cracks, the underside of the body and the rear arms; keep the front fists a little lighter so the four-limb arrangement stays readable.
Graveler pages offer an intermediate challenge because the texture is repetitive and several arms overlap. Colored pencils produce natural grain, while broad markers can create a graphic mosaic effect.
What if you chose your own colors?
Place the character on a steep trail, inside a cave or rolling past loose stones. Warm ochre ground contrasts with cool gray rock.
Leave narrow light gaps around the feet and lower hands, preventing the irregular silhouette from merging with rubble in the background.
Recognizing Graveler
Graveler is a Rock- and Ground-type Pokémon with a bulky boulder body, four arms and short sturdy legs. Uneven stone plates cover its surface, providing many enclosed sections for layered grays and browns.
