Apply a medium slate blue over the body, then shade beneath the chin, arms and knees with a deeper indigo-gray. Small red lines at the ribs can provide the familiar accent, while the eyes should remain bright against the cool face. Machop drawings are also useful for practicing muscle shape without complicated texture: follow the curve of each limb with gentle pencil strokes.

Add a training mat, hillside path or a few light weights to establish a setting. Warm tan or orange in the background creates contrast with the blue body.
